Blue Wilderness Dog Food Brand Issues Recall

Blue Buffalo Company has issued a voluntary recall of one type of its adult dog food over concerns the food may contain high levels of beef thyroid hormone.

The company says one production lot of its Blue Wilderness Rocky Mountain Recipe Red Meat Dinner wet food is affected.

The recall was issued after a customer reported that his or her dog was showing symptoms of ingesting too much beef thyroid hormone. The company says that dog has since fully recovered.

Dogs that consume high levels of beef thyroid hormone may show symptoms like increased thirst and urination, weight loss, or increased heart rate and restlessness.

You are asked to stop feeding your dog this brand ASAP.
